A federal judge in California granted Google’s fees twice—ordering EscapeX IP LLC pay $191,302 in 2023, and the following year ordering it and its counsel at Houston-based Ramey LLP pay an additional $63,525 for filing a motion challenging the earlier fee award that the judge said unreasonably multiplied the proceedings under 28 US Code § 1927.
