Canadian LED manufacturer LMPG Inc. convinced a Texas federal judge to transfer a competitor’s patent suit over its commercial lighting products to Massachusetts.
Florida-based ElectralLED Inc. didn’t explain why LMPG’s Texas employees are relevant to the dispute and why their contributions should outweigh LMPG’s American headquarters in Boston, Magistrate Judge Roy Payne said in an order filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Payne said neither party has meaningful connections to Texas.
