Lupin, Scientist Settle Transpire Bio’s Trade Secrets Lawsuit

Transpire Bio Inc. settled its lawsuit accusing a scientist of joining the drug developer for a week and a half to steal secrets to bring back to codefendant Lupin Inc.

Transpire, Lupin, and Ali Nokhodchi filed a joint notice of settlement Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Transpire’s August lawsuit accused Nokhodchi of pilfering trade secrets related to its development of a generic version of GSK Plc‘s multibillion-dollar asthma treatment franchise Ellipta.

Terms of the agreement weren’t immediately available. Counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
