MLB Players’ Union, DraftKings Settle Publicity Rights Lawsuit

A unit of the Major League Baseball players’ union settled its right of publicity lawsuit against sports-betting platform DraftKings Inc. in Pennsylvania federal court.

MLB Players Inc.'s case over DraftKings’ use of player names and images was dismissed with prejudice Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania after the parties told the court they’d resolved the matter. Details of the resolution weren’t immediately available, and attorneys for the parties didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
