Perplexity AI Inc. withdrew its bid for a default judgment on counterclaims in a trademark suit, saying it will take its bid to ax the registration to an administrative tribunal.
The AI search-engine company plans to attack a trademark registration it claims to be fraudulent at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, it told the US District Court for the Northern District of California. It was sued by Perplexity Solved Solutions Inc. last year before the Texas software company broke with counsel, failed to secure new representation for four months, and had its case dismissed.
