Joola asked the US International Trade Commission to investigate 11 competitors the pickleball equipment maker accused of infringing a paddle patent.
The company’s complaint, filed Tuesday, states the defendants—Frankln Sports Inc., Proton Sports Inc., Vegas Pickleball LLC, Engage Pickleball, Friday Labs LLC, Diadem Sports LLC, Facolospickleball LLC Paddletek LLC, ProXR LLC, All For Padel SL, and Volair C Corp.—used Joola’s “patent-protected propulsion core technology” in developing certain of their paddles.
Joola, whose corproate name is Sport Squad Inc., is seeking an exclusion order blocking US imports of the allegedly infringing products.
