Samsung Owes $78.5 Million in Media-Measurement Patent Suit (2)

Samsung Electronics Co. owes Anonymous Media Research Holdings LLC $78.5 million for infringing patents covering methods for measuring media consumption, a jury found.

The Korean electronics giant and an American unit infringed US Patent Nos. 10,719,848 and 10,963,911 according to a verdict filed Friday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Jason McManis of AZA Law, counsel for Anonymous Media, said in an emailed statement that the verdict validates years of the company’s hard work and dedication.

“Our clients stood up for their ideas—and the jury stood with them,” McManis said.
