Tesla Settles Kodak Patent Dispute With Monument Peak Ventures

Tesla Inc. has reached an agreement in principle to resolve a lawsuit by Monument Peak Ventures LLC accusing the electric-car maker of incorporating protected digital-imaging technology into its autopilot and full self-driving capabilities without permission.

The parties requested a 30-day stay to finalize their agreement and voluntarily dismiss the case, according to a June 14 filing in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas. Details of the deal weren’t publicly disclosed.
