USA Masters Weightlifting Inc.'s “bad faith infringement and cybersquatting” of USA Weightlifting’s long-held registered trademarks justified the permanent injunction, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said. A month ago, Judge Jed S. Rakoff granted summary judgment to USA Weightlifting on USA Masters’ bid to invalidate “USA Weightlifting” as generic and on infringement counterclaims.
