Via Says Court Awarded 10% Royalties in RideCo Patent Case

Via Transportation said a US District Court awarded it a 10% ongoing royalty on RideCo’s US sales of ‘infringing’ products, along with supplemental damages.

• Via to get a 10% running royalty on all future sales of RideCo’s technology related to on demand microtransit, it said
• Court also granted supplemental damages tied to the jury’s prior royalty rate for pretrial infringement of Via’s virtual bus stop patents
• RideCo’s bid to overturn the verdict and claim non-infringement was denied
• NOTE: RideCo Owes $1.4 Million in Via Transportation Patent Suit
