X.AI Fails to Block California AI Training-Transparency Law (1)

Elon Musk’s X.AI LLC lost its bid to prohibit California from enforcing a state law that requires AI developers to publish high-level summaries of their training data while the company’s lawsuit challenging the rule proceeds.

The law stands, for now, because X.AI failed to show its case is likely to succeed on the merits, according to a Thursday order denying X.AI’s motion for a preliminary injunction.
