NCAA Would Keep NIL Oversight in Revised Player-Pay Settlement

Attorneys for athlete plaintiffs, the NCAA, and Power Five conferences filed a revised antitrust settlement proposal that would preserve the sports organization’s oversight of name, image, and likeness deals.

The filing, submitted Thursday in US District Court for the Northern District of California, marks the second attempt by the NCAA to gain preliminary approval of the deal and put to rest claims accusing it of restricting athlete pay.
