School District’s Pronoun Policy Upheld by First Circuit

Parents have no right to be informed when their child uses new pronouns at school, the First Circuit ruled Tuesday in upholding a Massachusetts school district’s policy.

The well-recognized constitutional right parents have to direct their child’s upbringing doesn’t entitle them to notification about changes to their child’s gender identity, a three-judge panel of the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit said.
