Herbert Smith Freehills is hiring 10 lawyers, including a trio of partners, from Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe to grow its German operations.
Corporate partners Wilhelm Nolting-Hauff, Oliver Duys, and Nikita Tkatchenko are joining HSF’s Duesseldorf office, alongside two counsel, three associates and two foreign counsel.
Duys has been at US-led Orrick since 2008, and was previously the firm’s German managing partner for a decade. Nolting-Hauff has also been at Orrick since 2008, while Tkatchenko has been a partner at the firm since 2018 and also covers antitrust and merger control law.
