Orrick Adds CFTC Lawyer to Advise on Crypto, Fintech and Gaming

Dan Ullman joined Orrick as a partner in its financial and fintech advisory group in Washington, D.C., the firm announced Wednesday.

Ullman will focus on helping clients innovating in the crypto, fintech and gaming spaces navigate a fast-changing regulatory landscape and help explain these emerging technologies and markets to regulators. He brings knowledge of the Commodity Exchange Act, its Dodd-Frank amendments and CFTC regulations from his work on enforcement, litigation and licensing work in U.S. financial derivative markets, the firm said.

He joins from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
