The Biden administration is seeking input on whether to require insurers to cover over-the-counter preventive care services and treatments that don’t require a prescription, a category that encompasses birth control, smoking cessation products, and Covid-19 tests.
“Most plans and issuers currently do not cover OTC preventive products without a prescription by a health care provider.
