StoneMor GP LLC barred Black employees at a Memphis facility from using an “upper floor” restroom and break room, limiting access to White employees, an EEOC lawsuit alleges.
The company, which does business as Everstory Partners, also suspended and fired a Black grounds-crew member, supervisor Demarcus Benson, for complaining about the race discrimination and for refusing to stop one of his Black subordinates from filing bias complaints, the US District Court for the Western District of Tennessee suit asserts.
