Celonis Fires Back at SAP in Workflow-Tracking Patent Fight (1)

Celonis SE accused SAP SE’s process-mining software suite of infringing four patents covering software that tracks and analyzes company workflows, escalating the German rivals’ global court fight over process-analysis technology.

SAP’s Signavio Process Transformation Suite, including its analytics language and cloud-based process-insight tools, infringes US Patent Nos. 10,162,861, 11,256,708, 10,796,257, and 10,073,895, Celonis said in a complaint filed Oct. 10 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Celonis also filed a related complaint in Munich’s regional court targeting the same Signavio software under a European patent, according to a company spokesperson. “We ...
