President Donald Trump’s newly announced Religious Liberty Commission only represents a single Judeo-Christian viewpoint despite its alleged purpose to “celebrate” religious pluralism, a multifaith coalition says in a new lawsuit.
The Interfaith Alliance, Muslims for Progressive Values, Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund, and Hindus for Human Rights claim Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and other administration defendants have violated the Federal Advisory Committee Act and the Administrative Procedure Act by not appointing membership that’s “fairly balanced.”
