Communications between the former chair of GWG Holdings Inc. and a generative AI bot about his potential defense against securities fraud charges aren’t entitled to client-attorney privilege, a federal judge ruled.
The conversations don’t contain communications between Bradley Heppner and his counsel, and “Claude is not an attorney,” the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said in a Tuesday order.
