A jury must decide if eCapital Corp. and a subsidiary discriminated against that unit’s former chief executive officer because she’s a woman and retaliated against her for complaining and suing, a Manhattan federal judge ruled.
The US District Court for the Southern District of New York cited evidence the financial services company “currently employs only men as the most senior executive within each business unit” and that Jennifer Palmer was the only woman in such a role when she served as chief executive officer of subsidiary eCapital Asset Based Lending Corp.
