Iowa County, Ex-Jail Official End Suit Over Religious Expression

A former jail administrator and the county of Muscatine, Iowa, agreed to close litigation claiming the administrator was unlawfully terminated over online expressions of his religious beliefs.

The case was terminated Tuesday after the parties moved to dismiss the case with prejudice in the US District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. Dean Naylor sued the county for religious discrimination under Title VII in 2022.
