Jeffries Threatens Lawsuit If Trump Interferes With Election Law

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said Democrats will go to court to stop Donald Trump if he asserts federal power over elections, a threat the president has floated ahead of the 2026 midterms.

“We’ll use every tool available, including suing the heck out of him, if he tries to go down this road,” Jeffries said Friday in an interview with David Gura and Christina Ruffini on Bloomberg This Weekend
, asserting that Trump is “trying to rig the midterm elections because he knows his presidency has been a failure.”
