Maryland Sues FBI for Pulling Plan to Relocate Headquarters (1)

The FBI exceeded its authority and violated directives from Congress when it reversed its decision to develop a new headquarters in Maryland, the state’s Attorney General Anthony Brown (D) said in a Thursday lawsuit.

The FBI’s July decision to pull plans for the Greenbelt, Md., headquarters “flouted Congress’s explicit direction” to choose one of three specific sites, the state alleged in a complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Maryland.
