Meta Probed by Delaware Judge on Social Media Addiction Coverage

A Delaware state judge grilled Meta Platforms Inc. about its bid to dismiss or pause claims by its liability insurers seeking a ruling on whether they must pay the tech giant’s defense costs in social media addiction litigation.

At a hearing Monday, Delaware Superior Court Judge Sheldon Rennie repeatedly asked Meta’s counsel to explain why the insurance coverage case turned on the same facts as the underlying social media addiction case and thus should be stayed.
