NAACP Revives Suit to Block New Trump Mail Ballot Rules

The NAACP has reignited a landmark lawsuit over pandemic-era mail-in ballot handling in an effort to prevent the Trump administration from altering rules that could impact how millions of voters cast their ballots.

On Tuesday the US Postal Service filed a proposed rule that would require lists of verified ballot mailers and recipients and compel states use uniform ballot envelopes. USPS said the rule was spurred on by a March executive order to “ensure citizenship verification and integrity” in US elections.
