NJ Lawsuit Seeks Sig Sauer Recall Over Police-Issued Firearm

Sig Sauer should recall its P320 pistol, cancel gun advertising, and pay for violations of consumer protection and product liability laws due to inadvertent firings, New Jersey’s top cop claimed in a lawsuit filed Thursday.

Unintended firings, including shots that have injured or killed New Jersey officers, have created a public nuisance and safety threat, Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin (D) said during a Newark news conference. The state’s complaint, filed in Superior Court in Essex County, is the first of its kind against the company filed by a state, he added.
