A New jersey hemp retailer is suing the state over inventory it can’t legally sell after lawmakers tightened THC regulations last month.
The lawsuit filed by KB Wildwood LLC—which does business as Kannavis—argues it was an unconstitutional taking for the state legislature to impose standards mirroring the federal hemp standards taking effect in November under the 2026 Farm Bill. The new rules establish a .3% total THC rule and .4mg per container limit on hemp-derived consumer products.
