The Council on American-Islamic Relations is spreading violent ideologies throughout Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) said in a new lawsuit that seeks to ban the organization and three local chapters from operating in the state.
Filed Thursday, the state court petition ties CAIR to the Muslim Brotherhood, which the US federal government has designated a terrorist organization as it relates to chapters in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt.
