Minor plaintiffs alleging the operator of the Temu online shopping platform illegally collected their personal data and disclosed it to third parties without consent asked a federal court on Friday to dismiss their privacy lawsuit.
The minor plaintiffs filed a motion for approval of voluntary dismissal with prejudice in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York, seven months after Judge Margo K. Brodie granted the company’s motion to compel Temu users—including minors—to arbitrate their claims.
