A Texas lawyer will likely be fined for citing bogus quotes in a motion that he blames on bad artificial intelligence, a judge indicated Friday.
At least six cases cited for supporting statements instead said something different, prompting Judge Maya Guerra Gamble to dismiss the motion and hint at forthcoming monetary sanctions for the attorney, Lawrence Chang.
