US Order to Dissolve Delta, Aeromexico Pact Paused by Court (1)

A US appeals court temporarily halted an order from the Trump administration directing Delta Air Lines Inc. and Aeromexico to dissolve their transborder joint venture.

A three-judge panel at the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta agreed on Wednesday to pause the order while the carriers’ request for a review of the directive is pending. The partnership between the airlines allows them to coordinate pricing, marketing and loyalty programs.

The US Transportation Department issued a final order in September directing the carriers to unwind the joint venture by Jan. 1.
