Bankrupt marine animal parks operator Dolphin Co. has proposed donating more than 70 animals to zoos and research facilities around the country, including penguins, dolphins, a python, and flamingos.
The broad swath of marine mammals, birds, and reptiles would mostly be transferred from the company’s now-defunct Miami Seaquarium marine park in Florida to nine different facilities, according to a notice filed Thursday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
