General Atlantic has closed a deal to buy home-care company Team Services Holding Inc. for about $3 billion, including debt, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.
General Atlantic signed an agreement to buy Team Services from Alpine Investors earlier this year but no announcement was made. The deal closed last week, one of the people said, and values Team Services at roughly 10 times its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
A spokesperson for General Atlantic declined to comment while representatives for Alpine and Team Services didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
