e& PPF Telecom Group BV agreed to buy Serbia Broadband with the aim to boost its footprint in the Balkans and benefit from the former Yugoslav republic’s rapid economic growth.
The company will buy 100% in SBB, a provider of cable and broadband internet with more than 700,000 customers, for €825 million ($855 million), according to a statement on Wednesday. The buyer will subsequently carve out SBB’s direct-to-home satellite operations and sell them to Telekom Srbija.
