France’s Veolia Environnement SA agreed to buy environmental-services company Clean Earth from Enviri Corp. for $3 billion, including debt, to further expand in the US.
The deal, the biggest since Veolia’s acquisition of about half of Suez SA in 2022, will double the company’s hazardous waste footprint in the US and make it the No. 2 player in the sector, the French company said in a statement.
