Former Abercrombie & Fitch Chief Executive Officer Mike Jeffries, who doctors said was suffering from dementia in April, is now mentally fit to stand trial on sex-trafficking charges, according to a more recent examination of the 81-year-old.
In a letter Wednesday to US District Judge Nusrat Choudhury, prosecutors said Jeffries was found to be competent after a forensic evaluation at a federal prison in Butner, North Carolina, where he was being held. The letter didn’t provide details of the evaluation.
