New York Governor’s Race Narrows With Hochul Having Strong Lead

New York Governor Kathy Hochul slipped in a poll, conceding six points to Republican challenger Bruce Blakeman as the gubernatorial race tightens slightly.

Hochul leads Blakeman 51% to 31%, down from her 26-point lead in January, according to a new poll from Siena Research Institute released Wednesday.

“Democrats still outnumber Republicans more than two-to-one, so it’s not surprising to see Hochul continue to maintain a large double digit lead over Blakeman, although it’s tightened a little bit in the last month,” Siena pollster Steven Greenberg said in a release.
