NYC’s Metro-North Extension to Penn Station Delayed Three Years

A $2.9 billion commuter rail project to connect New York City’s northern suburbs to Pennsylvania Station faces a three-year delay, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

The MTA, which oversees the city’s transit network, including the Metro-North Railroad, had planned to finish construction by the end of 2027 to link that commuter line to Manhattan’s Penn Station.
