Maryland’s 2026 withholding guide, containing previously released withholding methods, was published Feb. 12 by the state comptroller’s office.
The percentage methods contained in the guide were unchanged from the last revision of the 2025 withholding guide except to increase the standard deduction to $3,400, from $3,350. Percentage methods were provided for local tax rates of 2.25%, 2.4%, 2.65%, 2.75%, 2.85%, 3%, 3.05%, 3.1%, 3.2%, 3.3%, and for Maryland residents working in Delaware, the same as in 2025 withholding guide.
