New Jersey is expanding eligibility for family-leave insurance benefits and protecting employees’ use of temporary disability benefits under a bill that is expected to take effect in July.
Former Gov. Phil Murphy (D) signed AB 3451 into law on Jan. 17. Since the bill is to take effect six months following enactment, it is expected to go into effect on July 17.
