Residents of Benton Harbor, Mich. reached a $25 million settlement with the city and several local officials over claims they weren’t properly notified of unsafe lead contamination in the water supply.
The US District Court for the Western District of Michigan gave preliminary approval to the agreement Thursday, signaling the proposed settlement class will likely be certified.
