Connecticut launched an investigation into Roblox’s kids’ safety protocols, alleging harms to children and joining a growing number of states scrutinizing the gaming platform.
“Roblox built an online pedophile playground,” Attorney General William Tong said in a statement. “Our investigation seeks to uncover exactly what the company knew about widespread child exploitation on its platform, how they have profited, and what they have or have not done to protect our kids online. We are done waiting for half measures from Big Tech and Washington.”
The investigative demand seeks comprehensive information regarding the use of minors on the platform.
