ModivCare asked a court to reject White & Case LLP’s $14 million final fee request for its work in the medical transportation company’s bankruptcy, accusing the law firm of deliberately burying the company’s estate in legal fees.
White & Case delivered an “ultimatum” to secured creditors, requiring them to pay $30 million to the unsecured creditors it represented or face litigation that would generate $30 million in fees for the company’s estate, ModivCare said in a Thursday filing in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
