President Donald Trump’s reported pick for a Federal Trade Commission seat will bring significant experience from Texas, a red state leading in privacy enforcement to an agency honing in on the issue during Trump’s second term.
Trump plans to nominate Ryan Baasch, a staffer at the National Economic Council, for a slot at the currently all-Republican Federal Trade Commission, Bloomberg News reported.
