UK buyout firm Bridgepoint Group Plc is expanding into a fast-growing segment of the private equity market by adding a team from mid-market secondaries firm Newbury Partners.
The Newbury team is expected to join London-listed Bridgepoint in early 2026, according to a statement Friday, which confirmed an earlier Bloomberg News report. The transaction will add more than $4 billion of assets under management to Bridgepoint, it said. Bridgepoint will also receive an ongoing share of existing Newbury management fees.
