Citigroup Inc. made two key hires in Asia to boost coverage of financial sponsors and its debt capital markets business, adding to a string of recent senior appointments within the investment bank. 
The American bank hired Vikram Chavali from Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to head global asset managers across the Asia-Pacific, as well as Deepak Dangayach from Deutsche Bank AG to be its co-head of debt capital markets for the same region, which includes Japan and Australia, according to memos seen by Bloomberg News. A Citigroup spokesman confirmed the contents of the memos.
