KKR Co-Founders Urge Calm on Tariffs and Tout Europe Opportunity

KKR & Co.’s co-founders said the alternative asset manager is looking outside of the US for investment opportunities, including Europe.

Europe is “a very interesting place to invest,” Henry Kravis said in an interview Monday at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills. KKR has invested about $30 billion since the start of the year, about half of that offshore.

Kravis praised incoming German Chancellor Friedrich Merz for the country’s defense and infrastructure bill and said Europeans are taking the future into their own hands. French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni represent European leadership ...
