Macron Lost Private Equity ‘Battle,’ JPMorgan Executive Says (2)

French President Emmanuel Macron’s plan to attract more private equity firms to Paris has been hampered by the country’s political turmoil, a senior JPMorgan Chase & Co. executive said Thursday.

Macron has “lost the battle” for private equity recently as “a lot of people are moving from London to Milan and Geneva, Dubai” given there has been “political and fiscal trouble” in France, Senior Country Officer France Kyril Courboin said on a panel at Bloomberg’s Future of Finance event.
