Societe Generale SA has hired Kenneth Tung to help bolster its investment banking franchise in Asia, people familiar with the matter said.
Tung, who previously led HSBC Holdings Plc’s financial sponsors group in the region, is joining SocGen as a managing director in Hong Kong, according to the people, who asked not to be identified because the information isn’t public. Tung will work on transactions including mergers and acquisitions involving private equity firms, as well as areas such as health care, the people said.
